Artist Statement
My name is Sara Mugnes and I am currently studying my third year of Bachelor of Fine Arts, majoring in Painting at the National Art School. My art is inherently focused around memory, process and play. My inspiration comes from the world around me, referencing emotions, feelings and connections. Growing up on the Northern Beaches has played a significant role in my artmaking with a lot of my works referring to place, discovery and the natural environment. Through the process of abstraction, my work aims to create a visceral and contemplative experience for the viewer.
