Kelly Lamb is an artist based in Los Angeles, California. For the past twenty years Kelly has worked across many disciplines, including: sculpture; photography; video; and product and interior design.
Lamb’s aesthetic is heavily inspired by Sacred Geometry, Viennese Secessionism, the Arts and Crafts Movement and architects such as Buckminster Fuller and Oscar Niemeyer. Her use of clean, angular, geometric lines contradicts organic shape, creating a dynamic dialogue between natural form and structural design.
Kelly’s projects range from fine art and high-end furniture design to homeware. Her furniture is currently represented by Twentieth in Los Angeles. KL Studios products are sold on kellylamb.net and in boutique stores throughout the United States.
Lamb has had two solo exhibitions in New York City at Spencer Brownstone and the Newman Popiashvili Gallery. Kelly’s work has also been exhibited internationally in museums, galleries and art fairs including: the Andrea Rosen Gallery, NYC; The New Museum, NYC; Agnes B., Paris, France; Ecole des Beaux Arts, Paris, France; Art Basel, Switzerland/Miami; and the Armory Show, NYC. Her interiors include Malo Restaurant, LA; El Prado Bar. LA; and the green room of the Echo Nightclub, LA.
Her work has received reviews in Art News, Flash Art, The New Yorker, Time Out, and Art Net. Kelly has also designed and produced artist campaigns with corporations such as Salvatore Ferragamo and Coca-Cola. Lamb’s work has been featured in many publications including the New York Times, Artforum, ID Magazine, Sunset, W, and Surface Magazine.
